Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 9, 2026
GEO Radar ("we", "our", or "us") is a Chrome browser extension that helps users optimize their websites for AI-powered search engines. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service:
- Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google OAuth.
- Anonymous device identifier: A random UUID is generated once and stored locally in your browser (
chrome.storage.local). It is included with every API request to our servers as an anonymous device identifier. It contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be used to identify you across different browsers or devices.
- Anonymous session identifier (cid): A random UUID is generated and stored locally the first time you use the extension. It is sent with usage events (e.g., feature opened, audit run) to help us calculate anonymous daily, weekly, and monthly active user counts. It is not linked to your identity unless you are signed in.
- Domain of the active tab: When you open the GEO Radar panel, the domain name of the current tab (e.g.,
example.com) is automatically sent to our servers to load traffic analysis data. No full URLs, page paths, or query strings are transmitted at this step.
- Page metadata (on explicit user action): When you run a Page Audit or AI Citation Check, the extension reads and sends the following data from the active page to our servers: page URL, page title, meta description, H1 heading, meta keywords, page language, and the first ~500 characters of the page's visible body text. This data is used solely to perform the requested analysis and is not stored as a browsing history.
- Usage events: Anonymized events (e.g., features opened, buttons clicked, errors encountered) are collected to improve the product. Events may include the domain of the active tab at the time of the event.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not record or store your general browsing history.
- We do not read page content from sites you do not explicitly analyze using the extension.
- We do not use third-party fingerprinting libraries or browser fingerprinting techniques.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising or remarketing purposes.
3. Local Storage
The extension stores the following data locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local:
- georadar_token: Your authentication JWT token, used to maintain your logged-in session.
- georadar_fp: Your anonymous device identifier UUID (see Section 1).
- cid: Your anonymous session identifier UUID (see Section 1).
None of this data is shared with third parties. You can clear it at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser's extension storage.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account and maintain your session.
- To perform page audits, traffic analysis, and AI citation checks on domains and pages you submit.
- To manage your subscription plan (Free or Pro).
- To send transactional emails (e.g., account confirmation, subscription receipts).
- To improve product features based on anonymized aggregate usage data.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) for all data in transit. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
Page metadata sent for audit and citation analysis is used transiently to generate the analysis result and is not stored as a persistent record of your browsing activity.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google OAuth: For account authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- LemonSqueezy: For payment processing. We do not store credit card information; payments are handled entirely by LemonSqueezy.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the extension.
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@georadar.xpark100.com.
8. Children's Privacy
GEO Radar is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
